This has got to be the funniest thing I have ever seen. Had me in tears from start to finish. Always said nothing is funnier than real life and this proves it. Brings back recollections of being brought up in a northern backstreet neighbourhood and everything is true but extremely funny. If this doesn't split your sides you must have been a soft southern yuppie wannabie in the late 70's early 80's.
Not really sure if I should review this. As a huge fan of Peter Kay, I tried hard to like this, but I guess his standup routine just isnt my cuppa tea. I love all the sitcom stuff hes done, from Chorley FM to Phoenix Nights, even Max and Paddy was mostly funny. But this is just too slow. In his live set you get the impression the audience are hanging onto every word he says they wouldnt dare not laugh. Like those celeb audience shows on TV, you never know when the camera might be on you, so make sure you laugh at all the right times. Im not saying he wasnt funny, but none of it is laugh out loud, unlike the inflating willy or the drunk horse at the Phoenix.
