Beauty, dance, images and new steps in 3D
By Zamy (552 reviews) from London , 25 Apr 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
This is a lovely film blessed by the talent of coreographer/dancer the late Pina Bausch, her team of dancers and the inspired images and direction from Wim Wenders. His feel for location is superb and this is the most innovative use of 3D that I have seen. It is also a documentary and a story film at the same time. I cannot recall ever seeing our common humanity explored in this particular way before. If you like dance and innovative film I am sure that you will enjoy this movie.- Was this review helpful to you?

(12)Dancing Becket
By blackpolekev (199 reviews) from blackpole , 25 Nov 2012This is a film of extraordinarily inventive dance interpretations by the late Pina Bausch. At times it's like watching an imaginative dance version of a Becket play and this is a fascinating documentary which finishes all too soon. Disappointingly the cinema only had a DVD version, and that was in 2D. Although I am not normally a fan of 3D this is probably one of those rare occasions when it would have worked well.

By boudicca (2 reviews) , 15 Oct 2012Astounding movement that goes beyond dance into sculpture and drama making it almost a new art form. I love the outdoor scenes.- Was this review helpful to you?
