A heart-warming sports movie
By NickW (3 reviews) from Nottingham , 06 Sep 2012[Highly rated reviewer]
The movie follows the preparations for the Table Tennis World Championships by an international selection of elder players.
The theme of the joy of taking part in competitive sport carried through into the later years is coupled with the affectionate glimpses of a bunch of disparate, but very likeable participants.
'Ping Pong' - traditionally thought of as a game of hands, legs and eyes - is viewed as an affair of the heart - and the movie warmed mine.

(2)true champions
By Searchme (1 review) , 13 Mar 2013At the ICA premiere of the film Sally Phillips interviewed Terry Donlon (over 70s champion in the film) afterwards. He said 'I'm 73 and I feel like I'm 37' and she said 'that's funny, I'm the other way around'. Cute- Was this review helpful to you?
