MORE KILLER FISH, MORE FLESH, MORE BLOOD......AND THE HOFF!By MAVERICK (70 reviews) from Knottingley , 12 May 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]With Piranha 3DD as the title suggest you get what you pay for.
For those who complained that 2010's Piranha was nothing but trash then they won't think anything else of this, as it's even more trashy!
But for a film that never sets out to be anything else and has it's tongue pushed even further into it's bloody cheek this sequel is just as much gleeful fun. To say this sequel was originally intended to be a cheap driect to DVD / Blu Ray release would have done the film an injustice, as although it never sets it's sights on anything other than being a daft creature feature missing the sight of 'The Hoff' poking fun out of his macho/ self loving image and playing himself as he opens up a waterpark, dressed as Mitch from Bay Watch. Only to find his true calling in life as the hungry fish end up in the pool. For the sight of Hoff running in slow-mo to the Baywatch theme while bathers get munched only for the music to be cut short and Hoff declairing he's too old is worth the price of the ticket alone. This low budget sequel has more action and more laughs than the first, but with a tighter budget when the dinner bell is rung, the havoc is not quite as spectacular as the first film, but with some intentional brilliantly dumb lines the film is great fun.
The film will get mauled by stuffy critics, but for those who enjoyed the daftness of the 2010 movie should relish every minute and in comparison to 2011's shoddy Shark Night, Piranha 3DD tears chunks out of it.

Gory Fun!By tomeg (3 reviews) , 20 Oct 2013This film made me laugh out loud. Not to be taken seriously - even The Hoff takes the mickey out of himself! Surely the title tells you it's for people with a sense of humour. I am also female and didn't find it degrading as a previous reviewer mentioned. It's just gory fun!
Avoid filmBy a customer , 12 Oct 2013really poor film piranha the original movie the thread of small town community near danger and trying to warn people before an impending disaster here in the remake meets porn and not just your average porn but bloodfest like its meant for those types that like to see nudity with blood an indirect snuff film for those who miss what little film plot there is
And the nominees for turkey of the year are..By Richie66 (1 review) , 13 Sep 2013Complete tosh, this is quite possibly the worst film I have ever seen. The first film was quite good, but this film did'nt know whether it was a comedy, drama, horror, or even baywatch. The acting was appalling, everyone involved with this film should try a different career, avoid.
2 stars because of HDBy Heee (1 review) , 28 Aug 2013Decent 2 stars movie, crap story, you are not watching for the story, are you? Worse than the first one, personally, I won't watch again.
What went wrong?By SidJames (16 reviews) , 14 Aug 2013First film: great. This sequel however, is pretty lacklustre. For the first half of the film things go OK, some cheesy humour, a couple of mildly amusing deaths, the obligatory bouncing boobs. Even Hasslehoff's cameo seems like it's going to be justified. Sadly, following all the build up, when the big piranha attack comes it proves to be very lacklustre compared to the gory mayhem of the first film. The film ends, and you think - that's it? The film is a very short 83 minutes long, and that includes a horrendously padded closing credits blooper reel, where the directors obsession with the Hoff completely kills any goodwill you had towards the movie. Did they run out of money, or film?
