I'm Hooked Captain.. this is another 'Pirates' to treasure..By PaulaWestwood (397 reviews) from Ashton-Under-Lyne , 25 May 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]Though this is a long voyage (at 168 minutes !) in many ways 'Worlds End' is even more immense and pleasurable than 1 and 2, the humour and story plot (ably aided by our home talent of McKenzie Crook, Kevin Mcnally, Keira Knightly.. etc etc) is superb.
Without spoiling anything, the lords of the Pirates from the four corners of the globe must put their internal squabbles and infighting on the back burner (not apparently an easy task !) to collect together to fight off the dominance of the East India Trading companies grip on the high seas, and their popular (ha !) member Jack Sparrow must (to their dismay) be rescued from the grip of the Kraken to aid them in their endeavour.
For our family this isn't just a film... it's an event... and we were thoroughly and absolutely absorbed by this. It is fantastic, entirely what cinema is about and shouldn't be missed by anyone young or old.
A most definate recommendation !!

The one we will forgetBy furryface (75 reviews) from Bexhill-on-Sea , 21 Jun 2011Not as good as the first two by a long shot unfortunately. I'm not a massive family adventure film kind of viewer but was impressed by the first two films.
The plots and action were above the norm but this doesn't quite live up to its billing. Over the course of the last two installments the love story subplot has outstayed its welcome and should have been settled in the last film, but thankfully knightly and bloom both wont be in the forth which makes me more excited to see it. they, especially he really lets the film down.
Sometimes the humour really does just turn into silliness along with the plot and the film just loses its footing, had they have cut out the needless gags and tightened up some of the action the film would have been far better for it. Needless to say the film only really comes to life when Depp is on screen, along with Rush who both carry the film completely.
The effects are brilliant and it is mostly good fun and very watchable, its just a shame that when coming to the end of what should be an epic, you feel more as though your waving goodbye to the antie you never really loved and has stayed a little too long and you really wana get that door shut. A bit of a let down and ultimately forgettable
A world too far...By Barljo (5 reviews) , 18 Jun 2011Feels the weakest of the trilogy so far - a complicated (but very Piratey!) plot gets in the way of the usual romp that has defined the series so far.
Depp of course turns in a signature performance, but the plot makes the film too long to really enjoy.
Pirates of the Carribean - Worlds EndBy a customer , 14 Jun 2011Great family film. Loads of swash buckling action to keep you entertained. Looking forward to the 4th film to this story
yawn yawnBy a customer , 14 Jun 2011Disappointed. Slow, plodding and lacking the spark of the first one which I really enjoyed. Some good bits and a good conclusion to it all but bored overall. The monkey being the best character says it all.
