'A Time to Kill' with a tandoori sauce...
By a customer from Manchester, England , 01 May 2007Oh dear, not another one of a clash between a tyrant land lord and poor peasant fighting for justice and taking law in his own hands...there must be a million movies made on the same theme...A little while after starting this movie I recognised that the main theme was stolen from Samuel L Jackson's brilliant 'A Time to Kill'. I was intrigued about how it will end as the the ending in the original movie was a nerve tingling court room battle. But indians are an emotional lot and the movies deliver justice to baddies in a more direct approach rather than the route of law and courts. The similarity of the two movies ended where the two baddies were gunned down by our hero hiding in a closet in the court prior to the trial. It was a fierce revenge battle so typical of scores of indian movies. The baddies are made badder and badder and the hero is pushed to the limits of his eyeballs and the result is some crude violence and a bloody end to the whole saga...Dont' take me wrong, the movie is good, the performance by Om Puri, Nandita Das, Sunjay and Jackie is good, but director has tried to convert it into a cheesy drama, a mixture of spagetti western and unsonstrained violence with a few totally unnecessary dances and mujras thrown to add to its commercial appeal. It makes a good film to watch, perhaps once only but not a lot to remember it by...- Was this review helpful to you?

Wicked
By a customer from Wolverhampton, England , 19 Oct 2006Sanjay Dutt proves to be a placid individual unitl a tragedy hits his family. I would not say this is a 'typical' Hindi movie as it touches the heart from a different perspective. Suited to those people who consider 'class' should be abolished. Enjoy......- Was this review helpful to you?

VERY GOOD !!
By a customer from Basildon, Essex , 25 Apr 2006Excellent acting by Sanjay Dutt and Nandita Das. Not the usual bollywood masala flick. Only flaw in this movie is that it has a bit too much violence and the story does drag a bit.- Was this review helpful to you?
