A Classic of its time!
By a customer from Dorset, England , 22 Jul 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
Candy makes a fantastic affable salesman who takes life in his stride and Martin the perfect choice as the miserable rich guy who expects all to go well. the kind of movie you can easily watch more than once with classic scenes and memorable moments, the nails in the dashboard scene and the cuddling up in bed were perfectly executed by two of the funniest guys in showbiz, a truly memorable tribute for John Candy.- Was this review helpful to you?

Classic comedy
By a customer , 06 Oct 2011I have seen this film before twice and rented it for my partners benefit, unfortunately we both didn't find it as funny as I remembered it, A classic comedy all the same with a good storyline.- Was this review helpful to you?

One of the best films ever...fact
By Pankytap (12 reviews) , 12 Sep 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
This is the film that Due Date tried to be. Quite simply PTandA is one of the best films of all time. It has everything from subtle one-liners to in-your-face slapstick ('that' scene where Steve Martin is 'picked up' still makes me wince).
Yes it's a feelgood film and in that respect it's predictable - but you'd be hard pressed to find a film that isn't predictable these days.
It makes no excuses and doesn't pretend to be anything else. Direction is excellent, acting is comedy genius, script is exemplary - rent it now - better still, buy it now!- Was this review helpful to you?
