This is an excellent anime. If you follow the episodes through (start at vol 1) you'll see definate character devleopment, and a plot that becomes much more involved later on that starts with baby steps here.
These are characters you can relate to (its work based) put into a believable future. Definately get this one out and try something different, and all the better for it.
