Loretta Young, Robert Williams and Jean Harlow are the main players here. Ms Young at 18 years of age got top billing, so she must have been the most famous in 1931 when this film was first released. She plays a newspaper reporter with a crush on fellow-reporter Robert Williams who ups and marries rich socialite Jean Harlow. It’s a love triangle and a run-of-the-mill comedy of class of manners. Harlow is funnier and sexier in other films. See this one for the oh-so-promising and ill-fated Robert Williams who died shortly after it was made. He had star quality alright.
