Truly stands up for the futility of war and how you don't fight for your country you fight for one thing and one thing only to survive at what ever the cost to Acquaintances 'you cant afford friends' or the enemy who are even wearing the same uniform as yourself. I really cannot think of one bad performance in this movie As good today as when I see it on release at the cinema, in fact have now purchased my own copy
