Brilliant!

This is a brilliant movie; it has plenty of action and a great storyline. It achieves both of these without getting cheesy, which is refreshing to say the least.

Bank raiding surfers

The CIA need to get to the bottom of a gang who do bank raids every summer before they kill someone. A lead makes them believe that a group of hard nosed surfers might be responsible. Keanu goes undercover to discover the thruth but can he handle the truth? There is a fantastic interplay between keanu and the late great patrick. Funny, violent dudes directed by smart lady
By RichPickings (167 reviews) from 'kin Bruges , 09 Jan 2012Yeah, yeah, its an absolute classic, classic low brow American action movie that is. Greatly enjoyable, fast paced, never a still moment. Much better than that other Bigelow film everyone's seen. This is so good it defines its own genre: a mash up of bromance, surfer-cool and violent, heist caper. It doesn't really challenge but it has some good ideas, executed beautifully, almost as if it were a labour of love. Real skydiving, some fighting and some running. Keanu is wooden as ever but Swayze is very charming. And seeing the original of the scene that Nick Frost describes in Hot Fuzz is essential. Iconic dude.- Was this review helpful to you?
