classic light family entertainment
By Gary Page from Morzine, France , 24 Feb 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
Nice short stories to get Hercule's little grey cells going. Somewhat predictable, but arent they all.. good costumes and sets and supporting as always the inimitable Inspector Japp and Captain Hastings.
You wouldnt buy it would you as its a watch once job, so perfect for a weekday rental.- Was this review helpful to you?

Shorter on style
By noirpanther (218 reviews) from London , 04 Oct 2006Agatha Christie's short 'Poirot' stories are reasonably entertaining, but lack much of the wit and style of the full stories. In both stories here the tart cleverness of the plots obliterate the other qualities which make her full length stories so attractive.- Was this review helpful to you?

Civil War Story
By a customer from Cardiff,Wales , 27 Feb 2006Sraightforward, honest to goodness Civil War adventure story, loosely based on fact. It may look dated against some modern movies but it is storytelling entertainment at its best.- Was this review helpful to you?
