The best part of this typically lively Jackie Chan outing is the final credit sequence featuring the reckless stunts that failed to make the picture. That said, this is still a cracking romp in which Hong Kong cop Chan and Chinese police director Michelle Yeoh team up to infiltrate the gang of a vicious drugs baron. Chan hanging from a helicopter by a rope ladder, Yeoh leaping from a bike on to a speeding train and the knockabout shoot-out in which Yeoh finds herself wearing a bullet-proof vest loaded with explosives are the highlights. But this is riotous fun throughout.

  • Some spectacular stunts add interest to a familiar story, which is given an extra topical twist with its references to the takeover of Hong Kong by mainland China.

    Not the best Police Story

This film was okay (far better than any of his American made films, but then that's a given).

But it lacks the heartbeat that drives the first two Police Story films. As far as action scenes go - it has it's moments, but still lacks an all out Kung-Fu-Chan-Fest scene, like the ones in the shopping mall, fireworks factory, or playground in the prequels.

If you haven't seen this film, but are a fan of the earlier Police Story's - I would still advise you to see it (as it IS a good film), just don't expect the hi-octane thrills of previous installments.
