    SEMINAL BRITISH COMEDY

    I KNOW, I KNOW, IT'S NEVER OFF THE 'BOX' BUT THIS STUFF CAN BE WATCHED AND WATCHED. EVERYTHING IS PERFECT, THE CAST (STEREOTYPES, I KNOW!!), THE WRITING, EVEN THE MURKY LIGHTING AND MUTED COLOUR OF THE SETS. COMEDY FROM A BYGONE AGE BUT NON THE WORSE FOR THAT, IF YOU CAN'T FIND THIS FUNNY, EVEN AFTER REPEATED 'REPEATS' YOU'D BETTER CHECK IF YOU'VE GOT A PULSE.

    Still very funny

    Porridge is still as enjoyable to watch as it was when it was first shown. Ronnie Barker is just superb.
