I have seen this movie a few times before renting it out again this time around. You can tell I really love it as I have taken some time to return it!. Basically the film is about rich guy and not so well off girl falling in love.Their eyes meet in a record store where she works. They date, she is embarressedabout where she comes from, which leads to his rich friends giving them a hard time. I fell for the guy - Blaine, instantly. Rent this you will not be disappointed. Great story of love, best friendship and father daughter relationship. Good Winter afternoon viewing!.

An absolute classic film with nostalgic 80's memories of fashion and music thrown in for good measure. The romance between Andie and Blaine is innocent yet true to form opposites do attract. Duckie the charmingly wonderful best friend everyone would love to have. Still a cracker after 20+ years!

I always wanted to watch this film because it's so popular but I was so disappointed. The storyline was very confusing and didn't make sense at all. As much as I love Andrew McCarthy, he was just awful.

  • WORTH WATCHING AFTER 20 YEARS

Just lovely to watch this again after 20 years! It's very sweet. Mainly due to the romance between Molly Ringwald and Andrew McCarthy. So many people telling them they cant be together. Molly is a good heroine. She isnt clasically pretty but totally likeable. My only bug bear was Jon Cryer and how annoying he is as Duckie. I didnt realise quite how awful he was til I watched it again. But please do hire this out for your teenage daughter who will never have heard of the actors but the story is a classic. Denise

    Pretty In Pink – 1986

This is one of my favourite movies of the 80’s. It has everything – love, emotion, bad boys n girls, geeks and a great soundtrack. If you have never seen it rent it!!!!!!!!!
