Who cleans up our mess?
By Steve from East Anglia , 27 Jul 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
This is a cracking good film, while not the very best of the Jane Tennison movies it still manages to hold the audience.
It starts with the discovery of a mutilated women's body on a building site, then off to world of illegal immigrants, Serbian nationalists, virtual slave labour, and the slippery sleazy legal system. As usual, nobody tells the truth....unless it's dragged out of them.- Was this review helpful to you?

(8)She's still worth watching.
By a customer from Birmingham , 19 Jul 2008Personally I didn't enjoy this one as much as the others but it is still worth a watch. I found it quite slow to start but the tension builds nicely and it does hook you. Tennison is looking a bit haggard and the cracks are starting to show which adds to her character. It also seems that the Vultures have started to circle for her too. She's still worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

Gripping TV
By a customer from Luton, England , 22 Nov 2006The best DVD I have watched for years. I had forgotten how good this series was. 3 hours of twists, a deep plot and superb acting. Not to be missed.- Was this review helpful to you?

Captivating and realistic - a real treat.
By a customer from Scotland , 12 Nov 2006Once again Helen Mirren turns in a classy performance as Jane Tennison, who has to put up with age-ism and chauvanism in the workplace whilst attempting to find the killer of a young woman. The realism in this feature-length drama is striking, and helps force the issues it confronts into the forefront of your mind. Well worth seeing.- Was this review helpful to you?

Seemed a little too long second time around
By Butler from Colchester, England , 21 Feb 2006This is an excellent series, but somehow it seems a bit long when you sit down to watch it all at once on a DVD. It could have been slimmed down with some advantage to make a great feature film. Helen Mirren is magnificent. If you haven't seen this one before, don't miss it!- Was this review helpful to you?
