[Highly rated reviewer]This dvd is superb. High School Student Donna Keppel (played by Brittany Snow) is in the car with her friend Lisa. They are driving home from the movies. When she goes into her house, she sees her dad and brother dead. She then runs, and hides under her bed in her room because she hears the killer. She witnesses her mother's murder by Richard Fenton (played by Johnathon Schaech), a teacher at her school who has become obsessed with her.
Three years later, Donna, is about to graduate and living with her aunt and uncle, is in therapy and taking pills, to deal with the trauma of losing her family and her persistent nightmares.
Donna, her boyfriend Bobby (played by Scott Porter), her friends Lisa (played by Dana Davis), Ronnie (played by Collins Pennie), Michael (played by Kelly Blatz) and Claire (played by Jessica Stroup) make plans to attend their senior prom together.
Meanwhile, Detective Winn, the police officer responsible for imprisoning Fenton, learns that Fenton has escaped three days before Donna's senior prom and decides to stake out Donna's prom.
At the prom, which is being held at the Pacific Grand Hotel, Donna and her friends get keys to a suite in the hotel.
Fenton is already at the prom.......... what happens next?.......watch the film to find out....

Bad. Nothing to recommend it.By Andrue (21 reviews) from Brackley, uk , 25 Mar 2010
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideThe killings lack any sense of fear. Even trying to take the humorous view doesn't work because you just don't care either way.
The killings are totally unrealistic (like the first two victims stabbed many times in the same room - odd how the second victim walks into the trap and doesn't see any blood).
The acting is poor and the main character doesn't even have tinsel town beauty to gawp at.
I quite like most of these silly teen fright flicks but this is one to miss.
slasher flick!By shoneexx (13 reviews) from Malmesbury , 13 Feb 2010overall this is a good slasher film. Nice concept behind it and suspensful. Nearly up there with the on the edge of your seat films.........worth a watch
PredictableBy a customer from Cheltenham , 05 Nov 2009It was one of the small amount of films where i watched the extras first and from what was said by the directors etc i was expecting something a little different.
When i watched the film however i was left disappointed as it seemed the directors got tips on how to write a horror from that guy in scream, as it has a lot of the predictable ellements.
Overall it was not a terrible film and i may watch it again sometime but strangly the victims' blood seemed to clot very quickly leaving no signs that they've been brutally stabbed or had thier throats cut on a plush Hotel carpet or Bathroom floor.
another generic slasher filmBy muggs (175 reviews) from Lincoln , England , 01 Nov 2009yes another of the remake not so good slasher flicks that keep poping up , it aint bad but it aint the best , plenty of money spent on production just not alot of thought gone into this remake .
dont sit waiting for a great film cos it aint gonna happen .
