[Highly rated reviewer]This dvd is superb. High School Student Donna Keppel (played by Brittany Snow) is in the car with her friend Lisa. They are driving home from the movies. When she goes into her house, she sees her dad and brother dead. She then runs, and hides under her bed in her room because she hears the killer. She witnesses her mother's murder by Richard Fenton (played by Johnathon Schaech), a teacher at her school who has become obsessed with her.
Three years later, Donna, is about to graduate and living with her aunt and uncle, is in therapy and taking pills, to deal with the trauma of losing her family and her persistent nightmares.
Donna, her boyfriend Bobby (played by Scott Porter), her friends Lisa (played by Dana Davis), Ronnie (played by Collins Pennie), Michael (played by Kelly Blatz) and Claire (played by Jessica Stroup) make plans to attend their senior prom together.
Meanwhile, Detective Winn, the police officer responsible for imprisoning Fenton, learns that Fenton has escaped three days before Donna's senior prom and decides to stake out Donna's prom.
At the prom, which is being held at the Pacific Grand Hotel, Donna and her friends get keys to a suite in the hotel.
Fenton is already at the prom.......... what happens next?.......watch the film to find out....

HORROR - HAVING A LAUGHBy a customer from WEST YORKSHIRE , 29 Sep 2009I LIKE MY HORRORS BUT THIS WASNT ONE OF THEM
After reading some of the reviews for this films saying you jump in placves, i am afraid to say the only jumping i did was toget up to turn it off.
the film was so predictable and wasnt a horror more like a comedy as couldnt stop laughing at how pathetic it was.
also slasher movies you see blood lots of. in this instance the guy stabs people and there is no blood on him whatoever and no blood anywhere. the onkly time when you see blood splatter every where is when he slashes someones throat.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS - IF YOU WANT HORROR WATCH HOSTEL AGAIN
Good Slash of a MovieBy Jordan (301 reviews) from London , 23 Sep 2009So, I decided to give this movie a watch.
I must say that I was not disappointed. It did keep me entertained from the moment the action kicked off, but I must admit that I found the beginning to be a slow start as you are introduced to the characters.
Once the killer begins his rampage, then yes, I found some 'jump off the seat' moments.
Worth watching in my opinion.
More snoozy than scary!By AngelC80 (94 reviews) from Leicester , 21 Sep 2009The entirely uncharismatic Brittany Snow is the focus of an ex-teacher's obsession, after having previously killed her family he escapes from prison and comes back the night of her senior prom. The film revolves around Donna (Brittany's character) and her small group of friends as they all become targets of the killer. Basically, the film lacks any scares, is completely predictable and the killer is about as threatening as....well, a high school teacher! Avoid.
Yawning averageBy Charlie2000 (67 reviews) from Northampton , 13 Sep 2009Not sure why I put this on my rental list - I must have thought it was the original version!
It looks good on Blu-ray, and it's a glossy production, but it also gets boring very quickly.
Knowing the killer's identity from the start doesn't help, and he's not that scary looking. And if you can't see every plot 'twist' coming, then you can't have seen many films!
