After Jack Nicholson wrote the pro-LSD movie The Trip, he appeared in this other druggie epic, set in San Francisco's Haight-Ashbury district where deaf girl Susan Strasberg searches for her freaked-out brother, Bruce Dern, who think's he's Jesus Christ.
