I’ll be crucified for saying this but I honestly didn’t find anything special about this film. I’m generally not a fan of Tarantino’s work to begin with but I found this particular title especially wide of the mark.

The flick undoubtedly does have its positive points but I think some aspects of the plot are terrible, for example the idea that out of the hundreds of shops in a busy city street two main characters would “happen” to stumble, while engaged in a sluggish fistfight, into a store that is owned by a twisted kidnapper. I found Travolta’s character laughable as well purely down to the inconsistency in how it was written; one minute he’s this hard enforcer type, storming into an apartment waving a gun around and the next he’s dancing around like a fairy with Uma Thurman. It doesn’t make sense!
