A very well done documentary...plenty of interviews with key people in the puck scene. Many members of bands from old and new, british and american punk bands give their insights on how it all started and why, which always interests me.

Quite a lot of live footage is played throughout too, mostly in the background while someone is talking but it is good to see a lot of decent bands featured.

But then the whole subject gets caught up in the 'old school punk' vs. 'pop-punk', and you start to see a lot more of bands like sum41 and green day appearing and being interviewed. Personally if i chose who would be interviewed for this doc, i'd have left out all of that crap and just focused on the good old bands and what they are up to now.

But ignoring the yankee pop-punk phase of the DVD, there's plenty of good interviews with people like Wattie Buchan, Charlie Harper, Monkey, Animal, Ian Mackaye, Dick Lucas, Henry Rollins and many more. So well worth a watch!

This is a well put together docu -it does repeatedly refer to early English Punk as the innovator and inspiration behind the us punk bands that followed There are good appearances by Charlie Harper, Jimmy Purser that are not often seen What the docu does is trace the bands-not all US-that followed the ethos behind UK punk My only quibble is that it did not show any RATM who themselves have cited Joe Strummer as an influence

Great documentary, but it's mainly about american punk bands, only small bits about UK bands, but still worth a look.
