    excellent

This has the elements of a great documentary , the right bands are featured , the right people are interviewed and the whole thing is very professionally put together. It gets to the heart of the phenomenon rather than just provide nostalgia

    Excellent primer on punk

There are alot of poorly conceived or executed 'punk' documentaries about, and this is NOT one of them. A constantly engaging mixture of interview and live footage which traces the origins of punk from the early days in New York and London through the early Eighties. The production values are high and most of the footage is original to this film, made by Don Letts, who was an instrumental character in formative years in London. Highly enjoyable both to those who want to relive or reexamine the genre, or those looking to get a good education on the who, how, what, when, where and whys of punk.
