    After directing minor classics such as To Kill a Mockingbird and Love with the Proper Stranger, Robert Mulligan's career began its sharp decline with this clichéd, hopelessly dated story of a disenchanted hippy who rejects the life style of his affluent Manhattan family. Michael Sarrazin's life goes wrong — he kills someone in an auto accident, goes to jail, gets embroiled in a knifing and then thinks he should escape and hop over the Canadian border, like any self-respecting draft dodger. Barbara Hershey is his girlfriend and there's a song, repeated often, by Randy Newman.

    Just wanted to point out that despite not having seen this film it would appear that the Radio Times review above has nothing whatsoever to do with this film!
