A Liitle Gem!By jch21c1 (42 reviews) from Halesowen , 06 Jan 2013

[Highly rated reviewer]Definitely for the Radio 4/Classic FM generation this film is a little gem. Sensitively done you wouldn't think this was a thoroughly British film directed by an American, Dustin Hoffman. It is hard to pick out the best performance of Smith, Courtney, Conolly or Collins, but on balance the latter steals the day. Highly recommended.

warm, funny, good storyBy Babs88 (10 reviews) , 18 Dec 2013the cast in this lovely film reads as a rollcall of the best of British actors. Despite this, none of them overly dominates and Billy Connolly does a great job of linking the story together. The film is brought to life by all the extras who are genuine singers and musicians. All in all a lovely gentle film but based on the harsh reality of dealing with ageing, particularly if once famous.
Pleasant enoughBy a customer , 18 Dec 2013Excellent cast, who carry a predictable storyline. Best described as 'pleasant', but little emotional engagement from me. I managed to stay awake anyway...
If you enjoyed 'The Best Exotic Marigold hotel'.........................By a customer , 17 Dec 2013With a talented cast line up like this, how could it go wrong? I really enjoyed this film. It's difficult to select a star as all the characters were equally good. The chemistry between them certainly worked.
QUARTET the movieBy a customer , 16 Dec 2013this movie was really funny with billy conolly and maggie smith and micheal gambon and pauline collins all ex musicians all living in a retirement home having to put on a show to save there home
