Pioneering glam-rock band Queen truly shined in the setting of the full arena. A true stadium rock band, their live show was always spectacular -- propelled by the enthusiastic showmanship of legendary lead singer Freddie Mercury. This July 1986 concert, performed at London's huge Wembley Stadium to an audience of 150,000 .. Read more

Without doubt Queen were the best live performing band the world has ever seen and everything about this DVD proves just that. I always say that if you?re ever blown away by a performance on the small screen, then being there must have been absolutely unbelievable. A practically faultless performance by the band, with Freddy holding the whole of crowd in the palm of his hand thoughout. This is what real music should sound like!
It's easy to see how Queen achieved their legendary status with this DVD. The only reason we didn't give it 5 stars was because there are quite a few covers on this disc and a few of their own classics were missing. Disc 2 is the extras disc - unless you're specifically after interviews it's safe to skip it.
Absolutely amazing - it is truly the tightest live performance I've seen from any band - everything is bang on.
The second DVD is well worth the rental, with some very interesting behind-the-scenes and rehearsal footage.
If you like Queen and live performances, this really is a must. Freddie's voice is strong with range. Boh.... has power. Immense summer crowd. I could go on, but just rent it!
I love this DVD. Queen were remembered for their live and superb performances. This DVD has captured the magic of it.
The show starts with the brillant opener 'One Vision'. The jubliation of the crowd when Freddie Mercury comes out is fantastic and the one shot of him coming out of the smoke holding his sawn-off mic stand could go down as one of Rock's greatest shots.
The rest of the songs go through and the band pull them off with such class you might think they were from CD.
The light show is brilliant and Freddies Mercury is the perfect showman, jumping around like a mad man, but none the less you love to see him do it.
To pick favourite tracks is so hard but to pick my favourite it would have to be 'Crazy Little Thing called Love'. The Rock And Roll tongue in cheek always makes me smile and Brian May solos at the end are so great. Anyway, Brian May changes his guitar three times in that song!
The extras are good aswell. The interviews are amazing, but the multi angle section is such a great advantage. To flip between the bands between each part is a great idea, if only for some songs. Also the selection of songs from the Friday concert is great!
This is one of my favourite DVD's, showing a band who had conquered the world yet still put on a show to get it again.

Freddy Mercury was an astonishing performer/songwriter - this proves it. From start to end he gives it full bananas. Strutting around the stage, posing, gesturing, teasing the audience but never arrogant. All underpinned by some of his excellent songs. Well worth renting.
BTW don't get sidetracked by the dated clothing; enjoy the performance - it is as fresh as today.
"Champions of what" I here you cry, well if you are not a die hard fan then sit back and be rocked by the best live band in the world.
Queen broke more records with this concert part of the magic tour which sadly turned out to be their last. The biggest stage the biggest audience over two nights they packed Wembley Stadium not the tiny arena but eighty thousand fans per night, and it would have been more had they been able to book the stadium for more dates.
So much was the desire for tickets they then filled Knebworth park long before Oasis and Robbie, this concert captures queen in top form with a cross section of their massive repertoire.
This is the next best thing to being there and I know I was one of them on the night this was filmed and I am in the crowd on film, music champions of the world.
first time i've seen queen in concert and they were simply awesome

Queen are amazing and I've been a fan for many many years. This is a must have for fans, not just for rental but to buy. Simply great stuff.
Not only does Disc 1 alone contain 28 amazing tracks. But there in 5.1 too so you can really get into it.
WOW!! A definite must for you list. I just gotta wait for disc 2 now.

I've this concert on a rubbish VHS, Queen need no introduction, they were and still are music legends.
