Firstly, I want to point out that Queensryche are not, nor ever have been 'progressive'! Secondly, the original Operation Mindrime was and remains one of, if not my absolute, favourite album(s) of all time. The recent follow up/(sequel)?, the rather obviously titled Operation Mindcrime II, while not measuring up to the original (did I hear someone say Chris DeGarmo??), is an outstanding album in it own right, featuring some excellent song writing, predominantly from singer Geoff Tate. With the possible exception of the slightly below par Q2K album, this band can do little wrong in my eyes; their live show is consistently great and Mr Tate still possesses one of the greatest voices in rock!
Up The 'Reich!
not like the old days I'm afraid.
