Quo Vadis

1980s mini-series set against the backdrop of Rome in crisis as the Emperor Nero (Klaus Maria Brandauer), caught in the grip of insanity, begins to commit increasingly extreme atrocities against the Christians, culminating in the burning of Rome. When General Marcus Vinicius (Francesco Quinn) returns to the city from the battlefields, he meets and falls in love with the beautiful Lygia (Marie-Therese Relin). But Lygia is from a Christian family, and Vinicius must race to save her from the wrath of Nero as the empire of Rome collapses around them.

    Quo Vadis(1985)

    Was hoping for the older version. Good film except too much romance with the girl hostage and young buck, and it dragged on a bit Nero was well played and some very good settings. I would recomend this film for the historical information.
