Search party is sent to clear up the mystery of an area known as R-point in 1972 Vietnam. Radio transmissions had been received there suggesting that soldiers who'd been presumed dead six months earlier might still be alive. The area is supposed to be safe as all warring sides avoid it for combat. French built mansion then becomes the focal point of action that is partly mystical and partly psychological in about equal measures with inevitable military violence running along. Ending is surprising and menacing enough. Tag line is words of absolute truth. 'We are all going to die.'
