    [Highly rated reviewer]

If you like goosebumps then you will love this film. It is superb.

Mostly Ghostly is based on the book series created by R.L. Stine and stars Sterling Beaumon, Ali Lohan, Madison Pettis, Luke Benward, Brian Stepanek, David DeLuise, Kim Rhodes, and Sabrina Bryan.

Max Doyle (Sterling Beaumon) is an 11-year-old who loves magic and is shown to be ridiculed by his older brother Colin (Adam Hicks) because of it.

Two ghosts called Nicky and Tara Roland (Luke Benward and Madison Pettis) don't realize until later that they have had their lives taken away by Phears (Brian Stepanek).

Max is in the basement doing laundry and hears some voices. He goes over to a wall and sees a hand come out of it.

It is later revealed as a tunnel where all the ghosts are hiding.

Nicky and Tara help Max by defeating his bully since they are ghosts.

Tara is captured by Phears during rehearsal of Max's magic show.

Max tells Nicky about this, and comes up with the conclusion to throw him in the tunnel to find her.

What happens next ?...well you will have to watch the film !!

Am i the only one that was scared of this film at the begining when the Ghost guy was floating towards the screen? I know things are different these days but if i was watching this back in my younger years id be going to bed with nightmares.

It has a good storyline, acting is okay.. i just found that ghost guy disturbing and im in my 20's.

  • So bad, it was actually good

This was so bad, it was actually entertaining. The kids were in hysterics over the wooden and poor acting, crummy plot, rotten effects, etc. They kept asking if it was really made in 2008. In fact they now think they can do better (so the up side is that it's inspired them). I only feel sorry for the cast. When they look back on this in years to come they'll just bury their heads in their hands.

I don't even think kids would be entained by this. The special effects were absolute rubbish.

The acting was so wooden I thought I would carve myself a nest of tables out of it. A waste of time. Do yourself a favour when you see this title, skip on to the next one.

This is a fun film and my kids enjoyed it.

I found it easy watching and nothing to worry about kids getting scared.

so if you want a film for this Half term for the kids to watch then why not go for this title

my 11year old daughter thought she should give this film a five star, she said she enjoyed it very much.We would definately reccomend this film, but not for the younger ones, my 9 year old found it quite scary.
