R.O.D. The TV - Vol. 6

Full of clever satires of popular and classic literature, 'R.O.D.-The TV' is the follow-up to the Anime series 'Read Or Die'. The 'paper masters' - sisters Maggie, Anita, and Michelle - have total control of paper, able to manipulate it into different forms and for various functions. They run a Hong Kong-based detective agency, using their powers to help solve the cases they take on. 'The End Of A Dream' is the sixth volume collecting the series, and contains three episodes. Anita returns to find her life in ruin due to the scheming of the villainous Mr. Carpenter, who somehow seems to know everything about her. In order to salvage what's left of her life and stop Mr. Carpenter, Anita teams up with The Paper, the mysterious and long-lost friend of her benefactor.

    Running for the end zone

With Dokusensa out the way the route is clear for Mr Carpenter/Jokers plot to restore the British Empire and British Librabry to promonance and return the Gentleman to life.

If that makes no sense go back a few volumes you've missed lots of good stuff.

Here's the big explaination and pay off as we discover the secret origins of the Paper Sisters, Jokers real plans and more about Junior.

This has been a quality series and is probably a good introducion to anime overall requiring a lot less outside knowledge than most series and being of a sensible finite length, however the stories anre not stand alone so this is no place to start and if you've watched Vols 1-5 you hardly need my encouragement to watch this one (but you have it anyway)
