Most helpful review
Anthony Valentine
By a customer from Wrexham, North Wales , 23 Nov 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
I rented this DVD primarily for my wife, who has always liked Anthony Valentine. His portrayal of a typical English gentleman, and rogue, leaves others standing. As a gentleman thief he makes the role his own overcoming the sometimes weak story line.- Was this review helpful to you?

(6)Odd affair
By a customer from Sussex , 24 Aug 2010In fact the whole series is rather creaky from every point of view, acting, production, script - not to mention the cringe-making title sequence. Perhaps it all reflects the singular atmosphere of the original and the odd, awkward feeling that it is really all primarily about the loaded relationship between Raffles and Bunny, his former school fag, rather than aristocratic burglary, gentlemen cricketers or any other Victorian eccentricities .- Was this review helpful to you?

Very like the books
By a customer from York , 09 Feb 2005These episodes and the character are very faithful to the books. I enjoyed them, having just read Raffles, but not sure if I would have enjoyed them otherwise - a bit dated.- Was this review helpful to you?
