Demme 'quits Marley biopic'

A planned biopic of Bob Marley's life has been thrown into doubt again - director Jonathan Demme has reportedly followed in Martin Scorsese's footsteps and quit the project. Robert De Niro and Martin Scorsese are to be reunited for a forthcoming mobster drama. I Heard You Paint Houses will focus on the story of Frank "the Irishman" Sheeran – the assassin who is thought to have shot union leader Jimmy Hoffa. Screen legend Robert De Niro has joined Charlie's Angels star Drew Barrymore and Pearl Harbour's Kate Beckinsale in the cast of comedy remake Everybody's Fine, according to reports. Industry newspaper Variety says De Niro, whose CV includes Raging Bull, Godfather II, Goodfellas and Casino, will take the lead in the move, which is remake of Italian film Stanno Tutti Bene.
