I rented this as a surprise for my girlfriend as it's a childhood favourite of hers. Of course she loved watching it and I was glad to find that rather than just 5 episodes on the disc there are actually 8. The additional episodes being 'Mom', 'A Horse of a Different Color' and 'Queen of the Sprites'
Having watched rainbow brite as a child, and loved it, i thought it would be nice if my girls could see it and whether it would stand up to the newer cartoons that are around now. it paid off, my 6 year old was fixed firmly to her seat and once it had finished asked if there were any more NEW!! cartoons around!!! needless to say we are renting vol 2 and no doubt buying a copy from the shops!!
This took me right back to my childhood, when it was one of my favourites.
Worth a watch just for the memories.

I'd never seen it before but thought I'd rent it seeing as I'm the Rainbow Queen. As cartoons go, I suppose it's quite dated and nicey nicey, and the stories are a bit nothingy, but still, I loved it purely because of all the rainbows, and the theory that the power of rainbows can always save the day. Which is how I look at life! :D
