I had high expectations on renting this movie, having recently seen 'The Tin Drum'. It starts out dramatically enough but once the 'heroine' acquires wealth and position, I lost interest as the pace just stalled. And as for the ex-con husband managing to return so easily from Canada!!! How did he manage to emigrate there in the first place? Movie making by cliche. A disappointment.
