That old Bollywood standby, the class divide, gets another airing in this box-office smash from director Dharmesh Dharshan. Although it propelled Aamir Khan and Karishma Kapoor into superstardom, it's actually a rather slight, almost fairy-tale affair, in which an impoverished taxi driver is kept from his wealthy beloved by the machinations of her grasping stepmother. However, it was Nadeem Sharavan's music and the beauty of the stars that pulled in the audiences rather than the prospect of narrative complexity or social commentary. The supporting cast is also worthy of mention, with Johnny Lever making the most of a showy comic cameo.
Quite a few things different to your regular bollywood. Was a very laugh-outloud funy film. Amir Khan is fabulous and gorgeous, Karisma Kapoor is fabulous and Johnny ? is funny as always. Good supporting cast. I would reccomend it.
best feature about this film is the songs. worth renting for this alone.
