[Highly rated reviewer]Heya, All Amitab and Dharmendra fans, would njoy this movie. It aint great, but its light entertainment. It has got that typical old soundtrack. Songs are alright too. Overall, good entertainment for when you are in the mood of watching something from the past.
Light EntertainmentBy a customer from Leeds , 15 Oct 2009This film had the makings of an all time GREAT, bringing back the kamal ki jodi of Amit & Dharam from Sholay. The film fails to deliver however. Dharam looks tired and old. The storyline is well used and weak with little opportunity for either of the charactars to demonstrate any degree of acting. No great performances from either of the ladies (Rekha & Zeenat) and I don't think the pairing of Dharam with Zeenat is a good one, it lacks chemistry. That said the film is fun and has some excellent songs, it helps that Amit is looking hot as usual in uniform.
Veeru and Jai in actionBy a customer from Ilford , 22 Apr 2008A very funny movie. Its so good to see the duo in action again. Guys will always be guys. Watch out for the part when their lovers are being introduced to one another.
They really cracked me up. Playing brothers in movies seems so natural for them. Great job guys.
Oh, the first song in the movie is very good.
Stereotype Bollywood stuffBy P Ghargi from England , 18 Mar 2008For some reason, I was expecting Ram-Balram to be a decent bolywood movie. probably because it starred the Dharam-Big B jodi....and also because i was under the impression that this movie was released soon after SHOLAY (in fact there was a 5-year gap between both movies).
I wanted to rate this movie a 1-star, but it gets 2-stars only for couple of melodious songs and honest performance by Amitabh Bachchan and Ajit.
Avoid this movie, nothing worth mentioning.
Director has obviously not made any effort to put together a script/story etc. editing is extremely poor and it shows. performances are average, except for Big B/Ajit.
Very old formula of villain destroying the family of the heros while they are kids, and they being oblivious to it, work hard for him and even adopt illegal means of working. when they eventually get to know the truth (through their mother who mysteriously appears after 20 odd years), they unite hands to destroy the villain(played superbly by Ajit).
