[Highly rated reviewer]I went to see this movie with high expectations on what reviewers has been saying. But I am sad to say that I have wasted the price of a cinema ticket, money on refreshments and couple hours of my life. This has totally ruined the Rambo series.I felt I needed subtitles to hear what Sly was saying most of the time.Stallone just looks awful and not the Stallion he used to be.Only watch if you want to waste your time and money.

Brings a bit of realism to RamboBy a customer , 16 Nov 2013This is a great action film. Stallone brings gritty realism to this sequel unlike the other Rambo Movies. To the guy with 'the most helpful review', if you think this ruined the Rambo series you clearly didn't see the god awful Rambo 3 with Rambo fighting alongside the Taliban against the Russians and walking unscathed out of the wreckage after driving his tank into the bad guys helicopter. Rambo is supposed to be old and mumbling in this one, that's the whole point.
Very pleasanty surprised.By takeocyber (27 reviews) , 14 Aug 2013Rambo completely took me by surprise by being absolutely brilliant. It worked as a brutal, tense and visceral action movie, but also as a (yes, I'm being serious) thought-provoking and at times moving commentary on the current state of Myanmar. (One particular scene involving the slaughter of civilians had my eyes welling up.) And the sight of Rambo wreaking all kinds of havoc with a .50 cal machine gun was pretty immense - especially when he mowed down some trees with it.
ADRIAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OH WAIT........By FULL_RETARD (11 reviews) , 16 Apr 2013NOT THE GREATEST OF SCRIPTS BUT WHO CARES, ITS A RAMBO FILM AFTER ALL........ALL YOU NEED TO CARE ABOUT IS STALLONE TURNING PEOPLE TO MUSH........
More 'Dumbo' than 'Rambo'?By NickWinchester (11 reviews) from Winchester , 05 Feb 2013A cinematic exemplar for anyone unclear of the difference between a high calibre machine gun and low calibre script. More 'Dumbo' than 'Rambo'?
Father of RamboBy WongOrWhite (113 reviews) , 29 May 2012Let's get a couple of things straight...the script is awful... most of the time you can't really understand what Stallone is saying, he just slurs his words in that way he does like he's had one to many before shooting the scene...the plot is predictable, highly predictable...if you just sat and thought about what would actually happen in the fillm then you wouldn't be too far off...lastly, the proposed hero of the movie is a ~80 year old guy who looks like one of those action men you microwaved as a child (you can see he put that growth hormone he was smuggling illegally to good use) but do you know what?...it doesn't matter...
This is Rambo...so you can't understand what he says...it doesn't matter...so the plot is predictable...who cares?...the point of the movie isn't the award-winning script...it's about Rambo running around blowing stuff up whilst attempting to justify his pseudo-genocide...in fact, this film would work equally well if nobody said anything at all but just nodded and made grunting noises to each other...if you want a deep, twisting story then you've come to the wrong place...on the other hand, if you are curious to see what would happen if someone stepped on a landmine whilst being shot by an over-sized sniper rifle then dig yourself in and spread it on...
P. S. No seriously, what is wrong with his face???
