I went to see this movie with high expectations on what reviewers has been saying. But I am sad to say that I have wasted the price of a cinema ticket, money on refreshments and couple hours of my life. This has totally ruined the Rambo series.I felt I needed subtitles to hear what Sly was saying most of the time.Stallone just looks awful and not the Stallion he used to be.Only watch if you want to waste your time and money.
Being the most bloody action film, not just Rambo for the last few years. The story is basically a rehash of Rambo 2 (POWs - sorry Hostages held captive in Veitnam - I mean Burma). While trying to highlight a real world problem in Burma, it doesn't actually educate the audienice on it. While highlighting his post traumatic stress this is never really meantioned. Woth him are some forgettable mercanaries that never really become major charcters. The action in the film is good but there is only one real action scene at the end. The rest of the film is just really build up. I think this makes the film seem shorter. I watched it and I thought is was a short film. While seeing machine guns rip apart bad guys, with little happening in between makes it seem plodding unlike other Rambos but never really seems boring. A good attempt, and better than most recent action film attempts.
The bad guy in it, he kills innocent people, tortures and ethniclly cleansing people, didn't they have to make that bit more evil by making him a paedophile?

Stallone has lined up some of Tinseltown's toughest stars to appear in the movie - which focuses on mercenaries overthrowing a South American dictator - including Jet Li, Mickey Rourke, Jason Statham and Eric Roberts. The Rambo actor has even enticed action hero-turned-California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger to return to the big screen in a... Read more
