Awful

I went to see this movie with high expectations on what reviewers has been saying.But I am sad to say that I have wasted the price of a cinema ticket, money on refreshments and couple hours of my life.This has totally ruined the Rambo series.I felt I needed subtitles to hear what Sly was saying most of the time.Stallone just looks awful and not the Stallion he used to be.Only watch if you want to waste your time and money.

bloody beyond belief!

Sly stallone returns to the role as john rambo 20 yrs after we last saw him in the appaulingly bad Rambo 3. Thankfully like Rocky balboa,stallone has made a much better film than the prevoius installment. Although pushing 63 stallone is in tremendous shape for his age and would put me in my 30's to shame!!

The basic premise is that Rambo is now living as a snake catcher in Thailand,when some american missionaries attempt to hire rambo to boat them up to the Burmese border,he tries to dissuade them. Rambo goes along and drops the missionaries off..soon after which they are captured after an attack on the village which they are helping by the burmese army. Rambo is then hired along with a few mercenaries to rescue said missionaries and return them safely.

THIS FILM IS NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED,IF YOU ARE SQUEMISH OR OF A NERVOUS DISPOSITION THEN DON'T SEE THIS..WHAT ENSUES MUST BE THE BLOODIEST ACTION FILM SINCE THE OPENING OF SAVING PRIVATE RYAN..LIMBS ARE BLOWN OFF,HEADS DECAPITATED,CHILDREN KILLED AND TORTURED,HINTS OF CHILD ABUSE/RAPE AND MORE BLOOD AND GUTS THAN YOUR LOCAL BUTCHERS FOLLOW FOR THE NEXT 90 MINS OR SO!

This is much better than the awful Rambo 3 and also the moderately good Rambo 2..the best sequel since the first part First Blood. The pacing is spot on and stallone directs the action sequences very well. I guess stallone was trying to portray the horrors of war more acurately than he had before but this is still just a kick ass action film at athe end of the day and although the burmese conflict is rue and no doubt bad things happen on a daily basis,this is obviously pumped up to the extreme here.

A great action film for the lads for a sat night..stallone still has it and has made what rambo 2 and 3 shoulda been..and you also get the gorgeous julie benz(Angel,Buffy,Dexter) thrown in too!!
