    [Highly rated reviewer]

Ramona and Beezus stars Selena Gomez (who also plays Alex in Wizards of Waverly Place).

Selena plays the part of Beezus - Ramona's sensible big sister, whose nickname comes from Ramona's babyhood mispronunciation of her name

This film is an adaptation of the 'Ramona' book series by Beverly Cleary.

    Ramona and Beezus also stars:

    Joey King as Ramona Quimby

    Ginnifer Goodwin as Aunt Bea

    John Corbett as Bob Quimby

    and Bridget Moynahan as Dorothy

Beezus is the older sister of the energetic and very accident-prone Ramona.

Beezus and Ramona Quimby lives on Klickitat Street.

The stories of the adventures begin in Beezus and Ramona, where Beezus finds her younger rambunctious sister Ramona totally exasperating when she gets into a lot of misadventures!

The Ramona stories grew out of Beverly Cleary's earlier Henry Huggins books and take place in the same continuity and neighbourhood. In the Henry Huggins books, Beezus was one of Henry's neighbours and Ramona was her younger sister and mostly a pest to Henry, Beezus and the other older children.

The plot in this film revolves around Beezus' frustrations with her little sister from her point of view.

I loved the books when I was younger and my daughters have also read them.

This film is well worth watching, and perhaps this will encourage you to read the books.
