Gordon Ramsay's first big tv hit, shows the viewer not how to cook like so many other 'celebrity' chefs, instead what it is like to run a restaurant. It is this refreshing insight into the restaurant business combined with Gordon's passion and unique character, which make this a hit. You see just how much hard work goes into running a restaurant from both sides, not just in the kitchen. Gordon says it was his way of giving something back to the restuarant world. At times is incredibly funny but also very informative and a big eye opener to those who have never worked in a restaurant.
Ramsey's management technique twinned with his knowledge of food and the restaurant industry is marvellous to watch.
