Filmmaker/provocateur Bruce LaBruce incites us yet again with his latest creation that fuses explicit sex, wild graphics with politics in a very unique visual blend. Raspberry Reich is the story of a "radical chic" German terrorist group modeled on the Baader-Meinhoff gang from the '70s. This group is led by the charismatically bitchy Gudrun who feels that for the revolution to be genuine; all men must have sex with other men. The group organizes to kidnap the gay son of a wealthy industrialist by snatching him as he walks home one day.

Once again Bruce La Bruce proves himself to be one of Hollywood's hottest action/comedy Directors... if you fancy a phatter slice of American Pie you won't regret renting this movie for a Saturday night in with the lads... bloody brilliant, had me rolling around from start to finish!
Bruce sure puts the 'stiff' into Stiffler!!!
Yes even cornflakes are counter revolutionary to the sixth generation (we are not terrorists) revoltionary brigade, so you won't be surprised to hear that heterosexual sex is counter revolutionary too!
The weaker than water plot is of no consequence in this piece that borders on, and beyond, the bizzare with its German cast all speaking in English. Few jokes but nearly always amusing in a wry way, and must surely have left the Bader Meinhoff gang turning in their graves. Be warned though, the sex is explicit and relentless and all the willies are upstanding, and (because to have it any other way would be counter revolutionary) willies is what there is most of!
Good fun though and worth a watch for the very broad minded. Incidentally it also contains many minutes of epilepsy inducing flashing titles.
