Captain John Boyd (Guy Pearce)is sent to a remote military outpost during the US civil war . Not a stranger to combat , he finds himself investigating the disappearance of a group of people which leads him into a nightmarish fight for survival as he is pitted against the cannibalistic Robert Carlyle.
Fast , tense , dark , extremely suspenseful and with a great soundtrack from Michael Nyman and Damon Albarn , this movie shocker delivers on so many levels and most definitely snuck under the mainstream radar. Watch it with your girlfriend and hear her scream.
