Deeply dark and unfortunately overlooked
Ravenous review

Ravenous, appeared on the shelves of my local DVD store without flourish or announcement.
But seeing that it contained Robert Carlisle and Guy Pearce (who'd recently managed a great performance in Memento)I thought I'd give it a crack.
A deeply dark film set in a dark era this film exudes atmosphere, and while, as the other chap says it isn't a true horror, its certainly scary enough. No its difficult, part horror, thriller and dark comedy the film is difficult to 'genre-lise' in that way. But it does well to provide aspects that cover all three.
One of the best films I've ever seen.
