Most helpful review Ray Harryhausen: The Early Years

    [Highly rated reviewer]

There's a wealth of material on both of these disks. There is the complete collection of the Mother Goose stories, which are not so much interesting in themselves but they show the development of Harryhausen's techniques. There are also the usual documentaries and several sequences for un-made films, or trailers, which look very interesting - they make you wonder why the films were never made. I particularly enjoyed some short tribute films made for Harryhausen's 80th birthday from leaders in the animation field.

First disc is poor. 2nd bonus disc shipped separately is extremely tedious unless you are are ardent harryhausen devotee.
