Loved by all the familyBy TheRaes (4 reviews) from Manchester , 23 Oct 2009Our young children (and ourselves) watch and love this DVD every year. They find 'The Snowman' mesmerizing and enjoy the fact it is purely music and pictures. They think 'Father Christmas' is funny and exciting.
Both stories keep their attention and set the mood for Christmas. Wonderful classics and in our opinion worth watching more than once!
BRILLIANTBy a customer from Shipston-on-Stour , 26 Jan 2009If you have not seen this before i really really must asks you to rent it, i promise you will not regret it at all, I'm a bloke and this still put a huge smile on my face, weather you watch it over christmas or not. the snowman is a children's classic the song walking in the wind is fab it is just a proper cartoon (drawings not animation now-day's) it just has a lot of feeling and a lot of thought put into this, it seems silly writing a review about a cartoon but it truly deserves it! happy viewing!! :)
'Raymond Briggs' The Snowman / Father Christmas' (1998)By a customer from Basingstoke , 15 Dec 2008This is a very old movie and I expected my son aged 4 and daughter 2 not to enjoy it but they LOVED the Snowman story which actually is only music and animation, no script yet is was powerful for them. The father Christmas one is not that great, the world bloomin is used alot and I was not keen on that but they enjoyed it too a little.
Worth it for the snowman.
RecommendedBy a customer from Fife, Scotland , 12 Mar 2008My 2 children - aged 2 and aged 3 - both loved this dvd and have watched it over and over again. (And it's months after Christmas.) It's also been lovely hearing them singing the music.
Christmas MagicBy Lindsey from London , 29 Jan 2008Really lovely to watch at Christmas and my little 2 year old loved the funny Father Christmas best. Good for young and old alike.
