Big fan of Hollywood classics (and no I'm not a gran, I'm only in my 20's). If you like funny little classics and your dad liked the Duke so you saw all his old movies as a kid like I did then you can appreciated this soft hearted slightly dated romance, but really can romance ever be dated? Its a sweet laugh with a big squid in the end (a making of the movie show said it was the best in special effects at the time). So, if you like classic romance, classic adventure or just love the Duke it is a nice film with pretty Technicolor and a nice story (appropriate as a family movie).
