Hitchcock Classic.By john evans from cardiff,wales. , 01 Aug 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]James Stewart confined to a wheel chair with a broken leg relieves the boredom by harmless spying on his neighbours. It`s hot summertime so all the windows in the appartments opposite are open, most of the time.He gets suspicious when the wife of the arguing couple who live opposite go missing. He enlists the help of his girlfriend(Grace Kelly) to do the leg work. You see as he does, through their windows, people living different lives.Stewart and Kelly interact marvelously and she`s never looked more beautiful.

Hitchcock at his bestBy a customer , 05 Nov 2013My favourite Hitchcock film and for a very long time my favourite film. The story is brilliant and the tension keeps you constantly on the edge of your seat. Jimmy Stewart was brilliant and if you liked him in this also try 'Rear Window.' Criticisms? Some might say it's dated - but it's definitely better than all the remakes.
A true classic of cinemaBy Gemma84 (7 reviews) , 20 Jul 2013I love this film, I hadn't seen it for a few year and had forgotten how suspense filled it is. Great acting by James Stewart as the frustrated man confined to a wheelchair for the summer and by Raymond Burr, who is convincingly creepy. A true classic of cinema.
Not as good as it once seemed!By a customer , 05 Apr 2013Am I the only one who was disappointed? My memory was of nail-biting tension, and somehow it didn't happen any more. James Stewart, my one-time hero, now seems just TOO languid.

Gripping Timeless ThrillerBy TabiMcKitty (3 reviews) , 19 Mar 2013Have seen this film a few times and thoroughly enjoyed seeing this again. Timeless. James Stewart was great and Raymond Burr was a very creepy baddie!
