In this Rebus, a lot about how we live as a society comes to light. The plot starts off with a mysterious suicide in a investment bank. As per usual, Rebus and DS Clark are called along with the rest of their motley crew to investigate the suicide. Rebus is convinced that the suicide is supicious and in some way connected to the director of the investment bank as the suicide was 'intended' for him. The plot thickens and soon Rebus finds himself in the midst of a cover up so large that he's punched above his belt.
