Gritty city and a dirty murder
If you're a fan of everything Edinburgh and Rebus, SMG productions have filmed another thriller in the gritty underbelly of Scotland's capital. Do not compare to the book as you'll be disappointed at the hacking apart of the plot. Ken Stott plays a grumpy and cynical Rebus, but doesn't drink half as much as John Hannah's version (who removal as Rebus I will never forgive!) As a 'who dunnit' you're captivated by the storyline (and interesting murder method), even if the supporting actors are pretty unconvincing police detectives
