REC & STOP

I thought REC 2 was a total let down. It lacked any real emotion for the viewer towards the characters. The begining was a bit slow, then all the action seemed to come all at once then you just get the feeling that you've 'seen this all before'. Where as in REC the build up towards all the action was interesting & it delivered well.- Was this review helpful to you?

Why did i find this
By SuperSaint (312 reviews) from Market Harborough , 20 Jul 2012More of a comedy??? Ridiculous and just an excuse for another film after the first. Very predictable and the fact that it is in spanish is just annoying.- Was this review helpful to you?

Disappointing after a great first film
By Bassman71 (617 reviews) from Didsbury, England , 06 Jun 2012Events shortly after first film, Priest and Special Forces go into that apartment, after blood sample, met with hostility, keep that camera on!
Extremely disappointing sequel to the fantastic REC which was edgy, imaginative and scary but this film mainly falls back on clichés & stupidity.
Although there were moments in the first film where you did question why the camera was never put down, it is set out here that everything must be captured several times but quickly gets silly in the plot and scene setting.
There is a nice bit about half way through when the film changes perspective but nowhere near as good as the first film.- Was this review helpful to you?

The 'Middle Child' of REC Series
By Cerberadam (1 review) , 03 Jun 2012I don't like how they bluntly continued the story from REC. REC 2 needed more continuance from the original, it just leaves to many blanks against any new revelations or developments.
This duology was such a fresh look at the 'zombie' genre, it deserved more depth.
I wouldn't call it predictable but the twists weren't strong enough in the themes carried over from REC.
With how it ended this should almost certainly be a trilogy, hopefully this film is the problem 'middle child' in the series & the culmination film will bring all the answers in production this was lacking or it's a great shame... this has all the ingredients to be a strong cult classic as a series.- Was this review helpful to you?
